My Nexus 7 is a Wi-Fi only model and I mostly use Nokia phones all of which have data and blue tooth. I'm comfortable doing most things on the phone itself but for longer durations it is far better to use a tablet. While my Nexus is good at home and office, it is handicapped on the move. A little search led me to the cool little app BlueVPN. It enables android tablets with blue tooth to connect to the Internet via mobile phones with blue tooth, provided the mobile supports blue tooth dun profile. All(or almost) Nokia phones with blue tooth support dun. So I installed the BlueVPN app and was able to go online via my phone within a minute of installing it. Wow, my Nexus is no more handicapped. Well, not really,
I quickly realized that not all apps on Android are compatible with this kind of connection. I connect my Windows PCs to Internet via phone using blue tooth and everything works equally well once connected. The case is not the same here.
Below is the list of apps that work/doNotWork using BlueVPN.
What Works
Chrome
Official Twitter App
Opera Mini
Opera classic
GMail app - Erratic though, sometimes works, sometimes not.
Google play store
Amazon app - keeps displaying error message, but works when you close the error message. The error message comes up when any request is sent to the server, so it's annoying.
Blogger app - I'm composing this post from Blogger app on my Nexus with BlueVPN connected via Nokia 808.

These are the apps I attempted when connected via BlueVPN, I will add to this list as I attempt other apps with BlueVPN. Meanwhile if you were able to or failed to use a particular app with BlueVPN, do leave the app details in comments and I'll add to the list.
